Canyon Media was founded by Scott Cullins as a boutique publisher and media creative agency. Scott’s experience as Art Director for several major consumer publications, like Condé Nast’s Bon Appétit magazine, motivated him to publish his own editorial products and help other entrepreneurs start up their own magazines.

The 2008 recession shook the magazine industry and lead to many magazines going under or moving online. Canyon Media pivoted and began to provide customers with online solutions like digital advertising, website design, content management for CMS and more.

To facilitate this move towards digital, Scott’s son Gradey Cullins joined the company. With a degree in computer science from the University of Utah, Gradey took Canyon Media’s digital capabilities to the next level
